The standard size for this breed is 6-9 inches high at the withers, and weight is 2-6 pounds. These dogs have fragile bones and hence are prone to injuries. Puppies and dogs with unclosed moleras are susceptible to head injuries. They must be taught not to struggle to get out of one’s arms. This breed is not recommended for young children and should not be left around larger animals unattended. These dogs enjoy interaction, but become snappy when teased. They are usually reserved with strangers and can be extremely wary of other dogs.

Chihuahua Information Puppy -
rescues, dog
These dogs are very fragile and vulnerable and require special attention and care. Often they are born with a Cesarean section and the mortality rate is rather high. The babies in a litter may be of different size and the smallest ones are usually premature. But if a premature dog survives, it becomes very valuable for its small size and its cost may reach up to $3,000, especially if it is of a champion bloodline and has a rare color. The demand on such dogs is very great all over the world. Most chihuahua information puppy care will also provide info on rescues and breeders of this dog.
